Tirade on the Tidal Wave

1041.1Tirade on the Tidal Wave

Well, I can see you all survived the flood
Of ideas that swept you in my current
You see, for 40 days and 40 nights I’d jumped ship
On or off of it, I had a fit
Yes, a tirade of salty sailor talk
Then I had enough and took a walk
Up past the cemetery, each Grandma held a hand
Proudly walking up the path of sand
Reaching the platform once again
I stretched my body to reach Zen
In again, out again, I gathered & released love
The spirits were watching me below and above
They moaned and sighed about the crazy girl
Since the curl wasn’t on her forehead
Or in the middle anymore
Now, they couldn’t reach a decision
The jury is still out, but it didn’t matter
I faintly heard both Grandmas’ voices in unison
Go ahead and climb Jacob’s ladder!
But I yelled back, ‘NOT RIGHT NOW!’
Well, what could I do?
They say to respect your elderberry wine
But I’d rather drink current
While getting swept up in the tidal wave as a deterrent

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter word...love!
