It might be best to choose one element to be with
Because if you combine them, you get mud…You see?
Maybe that’s why I was encouraged to make mud pies as a child
But they get so messy, you see!
And who can eat them when they attract flies?
I tried Fire, Air, Water, and Earth…One by one…
And couldn’t decide whether I’d had any fun…
Fire was a glowing, heated, flame
He gave me warmth through all my shame
I think he got too hot. He got angry ’bout his lot
Air was a thoughtful, wispful breeze
He tickled me and made me sneeze
But his winds became colder as he got older
Water poured his love to quench
It didn’t matter I was drenched
His job was to cleanse. Then? He flows down the river bend
Earth reminded me how we’re all dirty
But he didn’t care. He liked me flirty
Since I am supposedly air, it occurs
Our unleashed passion would cause quite a stir
And cause a big dust storm
Moving mountains as if it were the norm
He’s what I need to stay grounded
I choose him and our love is unbounded!
