I Forgot the Dog

910.I Forgot the Dog (Circus Tent)

As I consume my home-cooked meal

So well-deserved over hot stove I steal

A forlorn look with eyes so attentive

I forgot the dog and his incentive!

As I cheerfully bound for the outdoors

I slam the door of indoor bores

And danced in the leaves gracefully

And forgo the dog so hastily!

As I lay me down to sleep

I close the door of every peep

And in the morn I hear a creek

Forgot the dog as he licked my cheek!

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter word...love!
