Emancipation from the Accumulation

Emancipation from the Accumulation

Emancipation from the Accumulation
Emancipation from the accumulation!
It is so liberating and invigorating!
Down to the bare-bones minimal
My thinking is subliminal
Imagining all possibilities
Mind so high I swing from trees
And grab up all I can
Out of thin air on the land
Yes, I’m grounded – got my roots
Pulled the straps, but not my boots
But still, I’m working hard
So I can play my one last card
And win the deal from the house
I’m quietly working as a mouse
Just running in my wheel
No matter how the hell I feel
Like a fly on the wall, I listen
To all the things that I’m missing
It doesn’t seem all that much
Since every day I eat my lunch
Calmly absorbing much a ‘do about nothing
Sounds spectacular when we’re bluffing
Another day new, but just as old
Keeping my bread from the mold
Yet, your story sounds quite exciting!
So, what are you missing? Why are you fighting?
To uphold the standards set by the industry
Of capitalism and discontent…Agree?
Then why change it when it’s not broken
Or tell it to go when it seems hoboken?
Because it’s not beautiful to display?
Perhaps it is time we should play!
The upkeep of Beauty, Strength and Wit
Causes all the Rage, Urgency and Fit
Perhaps we could contemplate & sit
With Zen of Buddha, Jesus, or Lit.
As we sit quietly with light
There’s nothing to prove & no dogs in the fight
There’s nothing more to take away
Our soul is ours in the world’s dismay

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter word...love!
