A Place in the Sun

A Place in the Sun

Place in the Sun
Hate it when they say they’ll call
Hate it when I climb the wall
Sure would like some alcohol!
Hate it when I have to repeat
Information that is at their feet
Give me a rhythm & beat
Saying and doing are not the same
That’s why I must make my fame
Get my name up in lights
I’ll wear my best bicycling tights
Entertaining you all night
Hate sneaky insects when they bite
Guess I prefer outdoors in daylight
I’m saying this all wrong and too fast
I’d better slow down so it lasts
Calmness and meditation
Causes for a new elation like vacation
How does this assist in my existence?
Spinning my wheels to avoid extinction
Although I’m not ‘working’, I’m still alive
But writing is ‘working’, it just isn’t LIVE
But even a passive, quiet endeavor
Spreads happiness beyond measure
Once I break free from solitude and peace
Think I’ll take a bite, not a piece
You will see what I’m all about
And understand, I have no doubt
It just takes a little sharing
And admiration from my caring
Yet sometimes it’s all the little things
Of which gratitude for living brings
So like it or love it so we can move along
To find place in the sun where we all can belong

About bognetta

Love has been so much more powerful than other people's control. I think it's all love, but sometimes it doesn't feel like love. That is because so many people are defensive, protective, and do not care to trust in that four letter word...love!
